Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall once again earned an "A" Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group. Texas Health Rockwall has received an "A" in each of the grading periods for the last five years. The Leapfrog Group assigns U.S. hospitals grades ranging from A to F twice yearly based on preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents, and infections.

Cindy Paris, hospital president, remarked "Without a doubt our first priority is to provide our patients with the best and safest care possible. We are pleased to once again receive an "A" Safety Score by this respected organization and applaud all of our staff for the importance they place on safety. They are truly the most dedicated care-givers I have seen throughout my career and it is most deserving that their efforts have been acknowledged once again."

The Hospital Safety Score is determined from careful analysis by some of the nation's leading safety experts. The seven member panel evaluates twenty-eight measures of patient safety such as staffing levels, falls and hand hygiene to determine a hospital's individual score. All of the data is publicly available and helps to provide patients a foundation for choosing the safest hospital for themselves and their family.
